- For those still struggling with the demo, you can do the
- following operations to run the log file through to conclusion:

- Step Procedure
- 1 Print the log file demo.log. Its comments will help
- explain the log file's actions.

- 2 Start Figment with a specified seed for the random
- number generator:

- c:> Figment demo 10

- The number 10 specifies a seed that yields a sequence
- for which the following instructions are valid.

- 3. Step the log file with F9 or play it rapidly with the
- "play" command. The log does not track wagers in
- conflicts so you enter those manually whenever you see
- a "wager:" prompt.

- The playback is probably too fast. Interrupt the
- playback with "i" or "I". Restart the story and repeat
- the play command with a delay interval specified:

- > i
- > restart
- > play 5 ;5 second delay

- 4. The first wager is a conflict with the bear. The
- following sequence defeats the bear with no losses to
- the player:

- wager: skip
- wager: skip
- wager: skip
- wager: 6

- where "skip" means you hit the key labeled "Return" or
- "Enter" on your keyboard.
